Rose Napoli

Rose is a playwright and actor currently living in Toronto.

Her plays include: Oregano, Shrew (A Big Fat Italian Comedy Inspired by W. Shakespeare), Ten Creative Ways to Dispose of your Cremains, Lo (or Dear Mr. Wells) and A Death and the Marias. 

Her play, Lo (or Dear Mr. Wells), recently premiered at Nightwood Theatre in association with Crows Theatre as part of 'The Consent Event' which enjoyed a sold-out run and critical acclaim. 

Oregano premiered in the spring of 2013 at the Storefront Theatre and was shortlisted for Tarragon Theatre's RBC Emerging Playwright Award. It will be published by Scirocco Drama this spring. 

Rose has been nominated for a Dora Mavor Moore Award, a Capital Critics Award and a Prix Rideau. She has been named an Artist to Watch by the Globe & Mail, the Toronto Star, and NOW Magazine. She has taken part in playwright residencies with the Thousand Islands Playhouse, Nightwood, and Tarragon Theatre. 

As an actor, Rose has performed in film and television, as well as in various theatres throughout Canada and the United States.
