Peter Anderson

Playwright and actor Peter Anderson was born in Detroit, Michigan, in 1950. He studied at the University of Michigan and the Dell'Arte School of Physical Theatre before hitch-hiking to Canada in 1977 to join the Caravan Stage Company.  His extensive body of work (over a dozen plays) for the Caravan Farm Theatre has been lauded as "populist high comedy." He’s the recipient of six Jessie Richardson Awards, a Bay Area Critics’ Circle Award, Leo and Gemini nominations for best performance (The Overcoat), a NY Drama Desk nomination, and Dora Mavor Moore and Betty Mitchell nominations.  He lives in Vancouver with playwright and mask-designer Melody Anderson.
