Norma Harrs

Norma was born and brought up in Ireland and came to Canada as a young woman. Her first acting job in Canada was playing Mary in Juno & the Paycock at the Manitoba Theatre Centre. In Winnipeg, Norma started her own small theatre company where her work more or less ran the gamut: acting, directing, even making costumes. A second career in Winnipeg saw her as a regular freelance broadcaster on CBC Radio and Television. On coming to live in Toronto, Norma began writing plays. She is also a short story writer and novelist and has written numerous articles for The Toronto Star, The Globe & Mail, and various Canadian newspapers.
