Nick Green

Nick Green is a Dora and Sterling Award winning playwright based in Toronto. His work has been seen across Canada and in New York City. Most recently his play Body Politic, which was produced by lemonTree Creations and Buddies in Bad Times, garnered a 2017 Dora Mavor Moore Award for Outstanding New Play, General Theatre Division, as well as a nomination for Best Production of a Play.  Much of Nick's work has focused on issues of queerness, identity, and history, such as Undercovered (Edmonton Exposure Festival); the Sterling-Award winning Coffee Dad, Chicken Mom, and the Fabulous Buddha Boi (Guys UnDisguised, published in Queering the Way); Sexual Edumacation (Free Jane); and Left Field (Concrete Theatre). In his time as Resident Playwright of Edmonton's Twenties Street Productions, Nick wrote 10 plays and musicals, including book and lyrics for Poof! The Musical (Sterling Award nominated); book and lyrics for The Curse of Pigeon Lake; and On The Wires. Nick is a graduate of the BFA Acting program at the University of Alberta.
