Michael L. Poirier

Michael L. Poirier was born in New Westminster, B.C. After attending trade school to become a welder, Michael moved around both B.C. and Alberta, chasing the construction industry. Spending some of his solitary time writing, he never thought much of his scribbling and never let anyone read it. In 2000, his landlady, a wonderful, very persuasive German lady, convinced Michael to write a play for their local theatre group. He did, they performed it and he was hooked. Since then, Michael has written over twenty plays, one of which (Perriott and Mr. Grump) won Theatre B.C.’s national playwriting contest. He has also written a novel called, Bloodlines, which is not for the weak of heart.
