Michael Grant

 Michael is an award winning playwright who has worked in various positions in many levels of theatre over the years. Recently his work has been with various community theatres as director, polisher and writer.

His first three plays were one acts written for the Elmira Maple Syrup Festival. "The Wizard of the Woods", "The Next Knight", and "The Curse of the Crown" played in rotation for six years.

Michael's first full length comedy "Hamish" was first produced by the Elmira Theatre Company and has had three more productions to date and is published in Playwrights Canada Press' anthology "Grassroots". 

His second comedy "Bare Bear Bones" once again was first produced by the Elmira Theatre Company. It has since had  many more very successful productions across Canada.

"Shorthanded", which received the PGC New Comedy Award, had it's first production in early 2013 and
has had numerous productions to date.

Suburban Standoff was first produced in 2016 and has since had two more productions with a several more in the works.

Later this year, Shorthanded: A Ladies Game, will premiere in Osgoode Ontario.

 Michael lives in Elmira Ontario with his wife Sherry and three children Brendan, Daniel, and Kelly and one 4 legged kid, Norm.
