Malcolm Shiner

Malcolm (Mac) Shiner was born in the UK in 1937 and came to Canada with his family in 1950. Toronto and its environs have been home ever since. The U of T provided a number of opportunities for theatrical involvement, the highlight of which was acting under Bob Gill's direction at Hart House. A career in education allowed for sporadic dabbling in producing, directing, and writing. Malcolm currently directs, acts, and writes for the Footlights Club in Thornhill. Since 2002, he has written and directed several short sketches and eight full length comedies: The Acting Principal, A Cottage Weekend, A Rectory for Two, Intrigue at Twi-light TowersIt's Your Move, Rough Seas, Playing At Politics, and Forget About It.
