Katie Alguire

Katie is a graduate of York University's theatre program where she specialized in playwriting and screenwriting. She produced her first full length play The Keeper's Secret at the 2009 Toronto Fringe Festival. Katie was a playwright-in-residence with Tarragon's 2010 Paprika Festival, where she first began work on Evacuate with dramaturgy from Anna Chatterton. Katie has also written several short screenplays, including Jason's Dad, for which she won the York University's President's Prize in Creative Writing. Katie is currently working on a multitude of projects, including a feature screenplay and several short plays.
