Kathleen Oliver

Kathleen Oliver's first play, Swollen Tongues, won the 1997 National Playwrighting competition, has been produced in Vancouver and London, and toured the U.K. in April-May 2002. Other plays include Carol's Christmas and The Family Way, (both premiering in 2002-03 in Vancouver), Beautiful on a Budget, and DanceArts Vancouver's multidisciplinary FIRE... where there's smoke, for which she co-wrote text. She has also published poetry and short fiction, teaches Creative Writing at the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design, and is a regular contributor to the Vancouver weekly, The Georgia Straight.
