Josh MacDonald

Josh MacDonald is a writer and actor living in Dartmouth, N.S. His plays include DEGREES, WHEREVERVILLE & HALO.
 

DEGREES was produced by Neptune Theatre and Festival Antigonish and is an award-winnning piece.

WHEREVERVILLE was produced by Two Planks and a Passion Theatre, shortlisted for the NAC's On The Verge Festival, and produced by successive companies.

HALO is an award-winning piece which has twice toured Canada, been produced by companies across North America from Los Angeles to New York State, and been turned into a 2010 feature film (for which he wrote the screenplay) called FAITH, FRAUD & MINIMUM WAGE (eOne Films, HBO Canada, The Movie Channel).

Josh is also the screenwriter of the award-winning horror movie THE CORRIDOR (2011-12), which was distributed by IFC Midnight / The Sundance Channel. Among THE CORRIDOR's prizes is an AMC/Dell "Next Wave" Award for Best Screenplay from influential genre taste-maker Fantastic Fest in Austin, TX (The Alamo Drafthouse).

Josh has also taught playwriting at Dalhouse University and is a frequent dramturge and story editor for stage and screen.
