Irene Saharov

I began writing after retiring from the Humanities Department of Vanier College in Montreal. My memoires, "True Confessions of  a Freelance Interpreter"  is  a collection of funny stories based on my experience as a freelance  Eglish-Russian interpreter.  I  read one of these stroies at  Hudson Players Club  Evening of Humourous Readings in Septemeber 2017.

I attended  a Writing with Style  fiction workshop  in Banff ( September  2011)  as well as numerous others creative writing workshops  given by the QWF, Colncordia and McGill.  I am currecntly converting my novella, "A Contemporary Fairy Tale" into a film script.  My first play,  "Love Potion" , a comedy in two  acts , was presented at a public reading organized by Donna Byrne and  a group of actors -- the Moonlighters.  (Montreal. June 2015).  Excerpts from the same play were presented at a reading organized by Wakefield Theatre.  Scene One. (  Nov. 5, 2017)

My second play, "Meditations of Guido Kowalski" was performed at  Montreal's Fringe Festival in June  2017.
