Estate of Greg Kramer

Greg Kramer worked mainly in theatre as an actor, director, and playwright. He was also a novelist, a magician, and an illustrator.

Born in the UK, he came to Canada in 1981. His professional credits cover more than thirty years across the country, including work at the Stratford Festival, Vancouver Playhouse, Arts Club Theatres, Passe-Muraille, Buddies-in-Bad-Times, YPT, Tarragon, Factory, Centaur, Geordie, SideMart Theatrical Grocery, the Segal Centre, Crow’s Theatre, Manitoba Theatre Centre, Native Earth, Théâtre Lac Brome, and The National Arts Centre amongst others.

Original produced plays include Lies of the Vampyre, Skateboard Tango, Queens and the Great Out Doors, Isadora Fabulist! and Sherlock Holmes which was commissioned by the Segal Centre in Montreal for their 2012/13 season. His novels, the pursemonger of fugu, Couchwarmer, Hogtown Bonbons, and Wally are all published by Riverbank Press, an imprint of Cormorant Books.

Greg Kramer was a member of Canadian Actors’ Equity Association, ACTRA, The Writers’ Union of Canada, The Playwrights’ Guild of Canada, The International Brotherhood of Magicians, the Canadian Association of Magicians, and the Society of American Magicians. He is listed in Canada’s Who’s Who, knits cable sweaters, and played a mean jazz piano.
