Frances Koncan

Frances Koncan is an Anishinaabe writer and director from Couchiching First Nation. She is a graduate of the University of Manitoba (BA Psychology) and the City University of New York Brooklyn College (MFA Playwriting). Her primary interest in dismantling things and putting them back together in new ways, whether that be plays, Judeo-Christian settler colonialism, or kitchen appliances. She is working hard to overcome her fear of dramaturgy, which she explains to anyone who will listen that it "harshes [her] vibes." She currently resides in Winnipeg with her German Shepherd puppy, Tucker, both of whom are Taurean vegetarians.
