Estate of Leo Orenstein

Leo Orenstein started his career as a dramatist with his radio play, Run Gabriel Run, performed by Helen Hayes on the CBS network from New York. Six televison plays followed (produced in Canada, the U.S. and Great Britain), and two stage plays that were performed: The Big Leap at the Royal Alexandra Theatre in 1953 and various summer theatres in Ontario, and was optioned for a Broadway production. In 2000, the Niagara Grand Dinner Theatre, Niagara Falls, Ontario, staged it and plans further productions in 2003. Salesmen Don't Ride Bicycles was performed in Lindsay, Barrie, Ottawa and off-off Broadway in 1993.
