Estate of James Saar

James Saar was born in Pembroke, Ontario in 1949.  A graduate of Carlton University, he also attended Sheridan College's Musical Theatre program.  He has acted and directed in many theatres.  His two children's plays, FANTASY and CIRCUS, were produced at the Huron Country Playhouse in 1976.  His musical comedy revue, FLICKS, enjoyed a long run in Toronto and had eight separate productions in other theatres.  In 1980-81 his revue, WAY OFF BROADWAY was produced at Old Angelo's Theatre and in 1981 his COCKTAILS FOR TWO HUNDRED was produced at the Charlottetown Festival under his direction.  In 1983, Huron Country Playhouse in Ontario premiered his musical THE RETURN OF THE CURSE OF THE MUMMY'S REVENGE, written with composer Joey Miller.
