Estate of Jack Sheriff

Jack Sheriff was born in Toronto, Ontario, on September 12, 1931. He taught English at Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. He has also been Artistic Director of the Acadia Summer Playhouse and Theatre Arts Festival International (Red Army Chorus and the Bolshoi Ballet). He is also Artistic Director of the Kipawo Showboat Company in Wolfville, and the Capitol Theatre Arts Centre & Opera House in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. He also wrote Native Rite, White Dance (based on the Donald Marshall story), a musical, Romance at Grand Pré, Song Of Mud Creek, for Wolfville's Centennial, and a comedy, There's a Ghost in My Opera House, among other works (see Catalogue of Jack Sheriff Plays) and is currently at work on a novel (2002).
