Estate of Brian Shein

Born 1947, Lindsay, Ontario, Brian Shien had his fiction published in various literary magazines and on CBC anthology.  His plays were produced by both professional and amateur groups, including the Vancouver Playhouse, the Factory Lab, various colleges and universities, as well as on CBC radio.

His film script POTLATCH was produced and released in 1975. 

Brian Shein created material for CBC radio and National Lampoon and taught creative writing at the University of British Columbia.  He was playwright in residence at Canadore College from 1975-76, and Playwright in Residence of the Playwrights Co-op in 1975.

He received 3 Canada Council short-term grants as well as the Macmillan Short Story Award.
