Ellen Peterson

Ellen Peterson is a playwright, actor, teacher, dramaturge and director living and working in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Recent productions include The Brink (Prairie Theatre Exchange, 2012) and The Eight Tiny Reindeer of the Apocalypse (Theatre Projects Manitoba).  Her past productions include Branta Canadensis, Learning to Drive or: the Year of Not Pretending, Tickle Trunk, Binky and Boo and The Blanket Show. She serves as dramaturge for the Manitoba Association of Playwright's Open Door (2007 - present), and has been Colony Dramaturge for both the Saskatchewan Playwrights Centre and Playwrights Atlantic Resource Centre.

She is currently at work on The Goose, and adaprtation of a Japanese folk tale, and Parts Two and Three (The Kamloops Kid and Daredevils) of the "Chippawa Trilogy," which began with The Brink. Ellen also writes coemdy, short stories, and a blog that isn't about food.

As an actor Ellen has appeared at PTE, Manitoba Theatre Centre, Theatre Projects, and Manitoba Theatre for Young People.
