Toronto-born Chris Kanurkas has written several plays including Blue Boy (Dorothy White Award, Canadian Playwriting Competition), Sport Fishing (Toronto Fringe, excerpts in the Theatre Centre's BANG festival) Brampton Blues (Toronto Fringe) and adaptations of Buchner's Woyzeck and Sophocles' Oedipus Rex. Other writing includes the screenplay Terminal, and radio serial Restless Nights. Directing credits include Steve Martin's WASP, Brampton Blues, Sport Fishing and Lanford Wilson's The Moonshot Tape and A Poster of the Cosmos in several Toronto Fringe Festivals and Sam Shepard's Action in Toronto's SummerWorks Festival. Other directing credits include Kathryn Snider's GentleMen and Reflections of an Insane Woman, and Blair Keetch's radio play Ernie's Ghost.
