Cathleen Rootsaert is a multi-tasking playwright, actor, director and collaborator.
She began her career writing and performing her own comedies both solo and in collaboration. Cathleen is a multiple nominee and past winner of Edmonton's Elizabeth Sterling Haynes Award for Outstanding New Play. Her play Abigail in Twilight was the winner of the 2005 APN Alberta Playwriting Competition. In November 2007, her latest play Choke premiered at Theatre Network in Edmonton where she served as Playwright-in-Residence. Cathleen has also written extensively for radio and television.
