Benj Gallander

Best-selling writer Benj Gallander has seen six of his plays reach the stage across the country. His plays include: Pseudopod Rejects, Dark Ages Romance, Curator's Park, Les Toilettes, The Death of Parent God and the translation of Czechoslovakian writer Jaromir Novak's The Grey Zone. He has done readings from Toronto's Harbourfront to Saskatoon to Dawson City to Scandinavia. Benj is a co-founder and was artistic producer of the SummerWorks Theatre Festival, one of Canada's largest and most successful, which is still going strong after more than 20 years. Besides being a columnist for The Globe and Mail, Gallander's books have included: The Canadian Small Business Survival Guide, The Contrarian Investor's 13, and the M.B.A. - Hobo Poems. He is a regular on Canada's top rated business show, BNN's Market Call and wonders around and about on the speaking circuit. He has almost created a theory where every night has a full moon.
