Josh Languedoc

With Ojibwai roots from Ontario's Saugeen Nation, Josh Languedoc is an Indigenous playwright, improviser, educator, and actor. Currently living in Edmonton, AB, Josh is the Playwright in Residence at Workshop West Playwrights Theatre. Josh's current project, Starlight Tours, has received development support from Workshop West Playwrights Theatre, Native Earth Theatre, the Citadel Theatre, Alberta Aboriginal Arts, and the Banff Centre for the Arts. Josh's previous work includes: Killing Earl (Edmonton Fringe Festival 2015, University of Alberta New Works Festival 2015), Case Study (Edmonton Fringe Festival 2014, Citadel Theatre Young Playwrights Company 2011), Question (Edmonton Fringe Festival 2008, Teens @ the Turn Festival 2003), as well as Alex' Storybook and Question: Max and Gervaise (Kompany Family Theatre Workshop Program 2013 and 2014). Josh is currently writing several Indigenous theatre projects, including his one man show, IN-CO-RI-GI-BLE: The Legend of Thundervoice (Native Earth Theatre), that dramatizes the autobiography of his father.
