In February 2013, the Miles Nadal Jewish Community Centre announced that Winnipeg playwright Cairn Moore has won the 2012 Canadian Jewish Playwriting Competition for her play Shiksa. Shiksa will receive a professionally directed and acted workshop in a Miles Nadal JCC Between Stages reading on Thursday, February 28 at the 2013 Chutzpah! Festival in Vancouver at 5pm.

A series entitled "The Unknown Country", showcasing three Canadian plays and co-presented by Playwrights Guild of Canada, took the New York stage from January 24 to 26. The run included "Oil and Water" by St. John playwright Robert Chafe, "Leave of Absence" by Lucia Frangione, and "After Jerusalem" by Aaron Bushkowsky.
