PGC's Sean Devine, Matthew Heiti and Kenneth T. Williams to attend 2012 PTC Writers' Colony
Playwrights Theatre Centre (PTC) announced the lineup for its 2012 PTC Writers' Colony playwrights: Marie-Leofeli Barlizo (Montreal), Sean Devine (Vancouver), Matthew Heiti (Sudbury) and Kenneth T. Williams (Saskatoon). These four exceptional artists will join PTC's new Dramaturg, Kathleen Flaherty, Executive Director and Literary Manager Martin Kinch, and Incoming Artistic and Executive Director Heidi Taylor for a ten-day development intensive October 18-27, 2012.
Now entering its seventh season, PTC's Writers' Colony has nurtured the work of 28 writers to date, including Elaine Avila, Brian Fidler, Lucia Frangione, Joan Kivanda, Greg MacArthur, Elyne Quan, Gordon Pengilly, and David Yee. Previous PTC Colony alumni have seen their work go on to production in Vancouver, across the United States, and as far away as Dublin and Panama. The Writers' Colony creates a community of artists to support in depth writing and dramaturgy on plays that are between first draft and first production.
