Betty Jane Wylie is a member of the Order of Canada and a two time Gemini award winner. She will talk about writing for film, television and stage with anecdotes about her fascinating journey told in her incredibly engaging and funny style. Betty Jane is a founding member of the Playwrights' Union of Canada and of the Periodical Writers' Association of Canada and past chair of the Writers' Union of Canada. She has published thirty-five books, including biography, self-help, financial planning, inspiration, cookbooks, belles lettres and two books of poetry. About twenty of her three dozen plays (produced in theatres in Canada, the U.S., Britain and New Zealand) have also been published. She has acted as host, writer and facilitator of three television documentary series.
